Fashion graduate Rosie Davies, has been selected as a finalist for the Fashion category in the Great British Entrepreneur Awards for her business, The London Fashion Agency.
After graduating from Liverpool Art School in 2009, Rosie moved to London and founded The London Fashion Agency (LFA).
The Great British Entrepreneur Awards, taking place in November in London, are set to become the recognised standard of excellence amongst entrepreneurs. They mark a new era for entrepreneurship in the UK and this inaugural event is set to acknowledge and celebrate the contribution and inspiration provided by entrepreneurial businesses.
LFA develops brand – Director, Rosie realised that brands want to know two things when it comes to fashion services: what am I getting and how much does it cost? With this mission statement, 27 year old Rosie, established a name for the agency in just a few years by cutting all unnecessary costs of traditional service agencies.
Rosie, from the Wirral, is now a Visiting Lecturer on the Fashion Communication module taught at LJMU. She also has LJMU Fashion undergraduate students to come and do work experience at the agency.
“When I think about my time in Liverpool and at John Moores I feel so honoured to have been part of such a wonderful university and city. I am so thankful to Lesley Peacock and Anne Liddell who taught me back then and who I teach alongside now. Their honesty and support whilst I was there and after I left has been incredible. Liverpool is one of the most inspiring cities in the world and I feel overwhelmed every time I come back. I owe everything to this city.
“When I started LFA people thought I was crazy as this isn’t the normal path to take but being a finalist means I can show my family and friends that I am not only doing something I am passionate about but I am doing it well.”
Simon Burton, founder of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, added:
“The entries we have received for the Great British Entrepreneur Awards can only be described as awe inspiring. The quality has been outstanding. The judges have had the extremely difficult task of whittling the great and good of the entrepreneurial community down to the very best and we are delighted by the companies that have made the shortlist.
The Awards Ceremony itself in November will be a night to remember, with VIPs from the worlds of business and entrepreneurship gathering to celebrate entrepreneurial spirit in the UK.”
