In collaboration with SEVENSTORE, third year students and alumni from BA Fashion (Communication) at Liverpool John Moores University have documented youth culture in the Baltic Triangle; the city’s creative and digital quarter. The students delivered all aspects of the project, working in specific roles such as art direction, production, copy writing, photography, videography and styling.
’Baltic Youth’, which came together over 48 hours on the 9th and 10th of October 2019, unpicks the relationship between a creative urban space and the people who not only inhabit it but also curate it. The ‘Baltic Youth’ exhibition is in SEVENSTORE, Norfolk Street, L1 0BE until the end of November 2019.
The students would like to thank to SEVENSTORE, Fashion Communication Tutor Jacqui McAssey, Baltic Creative and the participants who gave up their time to be photographed and filmed for the project. We would like thank our alumni Kira Courtney, Kate Davies, Lyn Dizon and Sinead Russell for their mentorship during the project.
SEVENSTORE is a new community-led, future-fashion and creative retail space set in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle.
